    Default Adjustable reach clutch lever

The VN900 comes with an adjustable reach hydraulic brake lever but a non-adjustable reach cable clutch lever. I have modified my VN900 clutch lever to allow me to adjust the lever in closer to the bar.

There is a tab on the clutch lever that comes down to activate the safety lock-out switch. I drilled a hole through this tab that lines up with the alloy block holding the safety switch. [First you need to back-off the cable adjusters so you have plenty of slack in the clutch cable.] I then tapped a thread and fitted a small allen screw with a nut and adjusted it so that it brought the clutch lever in to the bar about the same amount as having the brake lever on notch #4. A bit of lock-tight on the nut should stop things from vibrating loose. Then adjust the cable adjusters to take up the slack.

That will work IF there is enough adjustment in the clutch cable to allow it.

P.S. Nice easy fix. Wish I'd thought of that before I bought the Pazzo's for the wifes Hornet!

You need to adjust the cable adjusters to compensate.

Yeah, I started looking at those too but nothing available for VN900, got this idea from a mountain bike!
