Hi all ! I'm a newbie rider , starting off on a ninja 300 abs model . Been riding for approx 2 months , and must say I wish someone had told me to get on a bike a long time ago ! Slowly mastering riding , just need to take it easy on the throttle and watch my speed I tend to go over 60ks 😁.

If you keep catching yourself "creeping" you can always try cruising a gear lower so the engine is busier or even a gear higher so the bike has less "pull".
Neither is ideal but either can help you settle in while you're coming to terms with the machine.

Running old bikes is a matter of dollars and sense; I usually lack both.

Welcome to the forum. The best thing to keep in mind when you start out riding is that everyone is out to get you. Keep your eyes everywhere and ride defensively. keep plenty of distance from other cars and don't travel beside cars because they WILL change lanes on you. Best of luck.

Welcome aboard. Also have a good think about doing a rider training course. They are a lot of fun and you WILL learn heaps. Good luck.
I like days when I have no where to go and all day to do get there.
