    I seen that article madcow, thats what got my interest up, but l think an original drifter fender would be less invloved as far as fitting, but its a bit hard unless you have one at hand to compare, besides l could take one disk off.....it only slows you down anyway

    the only prob that l could see with the fibre glass jobbies is that they'd have to be well braced down the sides to prevent cracking due to wind/flex ect

    The originals are fibreglass, I have no problems with mine.

    Anyway offer is there if the ins company will let me keep the old one.

    I recon it would be cheaper & easier to swap over the forks & use the after market guards.
