Default Kawasaki W1 1967 Parts wanted

Hi, I`m chasing a speedo cable "Obsolete Pt # 54001-020" for a W1 retoration. Unable to locate one anywhere .
an old broken one would do as I can then have one made.
Any assistance or leeds would be appriciated. Cheers Gary

Still cant find a speedo cable though, and cant get one made without specs. didnt realize these bikes were so rare.
However thats what makes the restoration more interesting.

Cable 54001-037 http://www.gearhead.com/54001-037.html I think this part number also fits some Avenger models.
I have the twin carb model.

    Hi Mick,
Thanks for reply, are you saying this cable will fit the W1 650? as the part number for my model is 54001-020 which is obsolete.
And the part # you have supplied I cant find any photos or specs.
    Cheers Gary

I am a bit worried i thought i had one in the shed but i am in the same position as you.My manual gives that number but my drive in the base of the gearbox and the headlight speedo look to both be threaded.
I will post it on the Kawasaki W1 forum.
