Does anybody know if you can put the pillion seat off a 2003-2004 ZX6R onto a 2005 ZX10R? My wife finds the 10r pillion causes her to slide forward and put pressure on her wrists, so I'm hoping that the hump on the 636 pilon seat will stop this. Hasn't been a drama till now but she's selling her R6 which we used to do all the 2up riding, which means I have to get the 10r more comfortable for her.

Hey Winter,
I honestly would not have a clue. The best thing I could suggest would be to go down to a local bike wreckers and ask if you can try one for fit. I don't think it would fit simply because the sub frames would be totally different, but I have been wrong before. You may be able to get a 6R pillion seat to fit with a bit backyard mechanic (ie. dodgy brothers) work. Hopefully it would only involve relocating a couple of lugs.

Was thinking of going the wrecker route and simply taking the upholstry and foam off the 6R seat and putting it on the 10R base so that it uses the same lugs but is simply shaped differently. Thanks anyway.
Know any good wreakers in Melb?

Victorian Motorcycle Wreckers are probably the biggest for later model bikes.

sorry to rehash old threads but this ones easy....

i had my rear seat redone by an auto upholstery shop. (marine shop actually)

just had a second seat color coded (kept the original incase) and they can mold the foam as you like.
